My Last Week at Dayton : (

Today is my last Monday at Dayton. I am already starting to get a bit sad about leaving. I think that God had a plan guiding me to UD for college, but I am not sure I realized the extent of his plan until this past year. The University of Dayton has offered me a wonderful education and a great foundation of experience to help guide me through my future as an educator. My research experience helped me to learn a lot about myself in terms of my interests, future aspirations, and personal work style. The faculty members that have been a part of my UD experience have inspired me to work hard to make something of myself. I plan on using the knowledge and guidance that they have provided me with to make any small difference that I can in the world. Beyond my teacher preparation and research experience, I have grown as an individual over the past four years.

When I moved into Marianist my freshman I was nervous because I did not know anyone. The first person I met was my roommate, Faith, and she helped me to feel much more comfortable. We are roommates again this year and I am so lucky to have her as a part of my life. Faith, I will miss you dearly.

Socially college was different than any other experience I have had in life. No parents and a campus full of young adults left a lot of social rules to be learned. I believe that everyone that I have met over the past four years has played a different role in my life and I am thankful for each and every experience. Not every social lesson was fun to learn, but there are a few important lessons that I will always remember.

Each club that I have been involved in has introduced me to new and wonderful people, while also offering great opportunities for service and self-growth. Junior year, God urged me to participate in a retreat held through campus ministry and that was another unforgettable part of my collegiate career.

I cannot put into words how much Dayton has meant to me. I know that there are so many exciting things to come in life, but I will always remember and look back on my college career quite fondly. The next week will be full of celebrations and I will be sure to keep my blog updated with my graduation experience.

For now, I am going to practice learning Korean.
