Time to Get a Watch

I don't have a phone anymore. I have an answering service.

As I mentioned in my last blog, my phone charger was eaten over fall break. My parents are bringing me a new one when they visit this weekend (Home games for club softball! You should come watch!!!) So this week I'm keeping my phone off and turning it on once a day to check messages so the battery can last until Friday. So far so good, but I'm on my last bar of battery.

On an average day, I really don't think people call me. I didn't think it would be a big deal to not have a phone this week.

Monday I had about 4 text messages asking me about our intramural softball game and if I could play. I think the team was worried. Tuesday I had 3 voicemails...one was one of my best friends calling to chat (when I was free...my phone just wasn't on) and another was my assistant coach for the team I coach back home.

I'm bummed I missed those calls. Friday cannot come fast enough.

I can deal with the missed calls, but the only major problem I'm running into is that I'm the kind of person who needs to know what time it is like 50 times a day. I probably check my phone for what time it is about 3 times on my walk to class. I can't do that without my phone. I've begun using the clock over the RecPlex to tell me if I'm early, late or on time.

I think it's time for me to get a watch.

Not only because I can't check time on my phone right now...but because I start my field experience next week and I can't check my phone for what time it is in the middle of class!

P.S. That pop quiz midterm from a few weeks ago was real.
