LH Team Retreat This Weekend

I'm expecting to come back to campus this weekend with 16 new best friends. Okay, that might seem a little extreme...but there's some slight truth to that statement.

This weekend is team retreat for Lighthouse. This weekend was created so the student leaders can get to know each other better. By giving us our own retreat, it allows us to focus on the retreatants so much more when we finally get to the actual retreat in October.

Lighthouse is one of three main campus ministry retreats for sophomores, juniors and seniors. It focuses on personal growth through the use of nautical imagery and the lighthouse. It's an awesome weekend getaway from the routine of campus life. I find that it's an awesome opportunity to meet people from campus that you wouldn't get to know otherwise.

This weekend should be full of faith and fun. I'm excited to grow and learn more about myself too. Team retreat is not only a great way for me to get away with new friends, but I'm excited for the opportunity to get away, leave all of my work and busy-ness at home, and use some of the free time for my own alone time for reading and reflecting on God's word.
