It's been a long time coming but I know that change is here...
What a beautiful day for America and across the planet, to see the first African American President! I cannot tell you how excited I am, I really believe that this was a great move for America and we are soon to see vast improvements. The last few weeks have been very tense on campus as the division between Presidential candidate supporters become more evident, I really thought today was going to be a very tense day as well but as I attended my 7:45am President's Emissaries meeting I was overwhelmed by all of the joy and celebration that was going on in the meeting. This is the second Presidential election that I have been a part of and I do not remember being anywhere near as excited last time, I have not been able to focus for the last week but sadly now it is time to play catch up and get focused again. The last thing that I am going to say about the election is that I was so very impressed by McCain's speech last night and if we would have seen that side of him the entire election it would be interesting to see who would have won, he has never been so humble and it was very exciting to see him congratulate Obama on a job well done.
Okay so besides the election, I am doing pretty good! Graduation is quickly approaching and I am so very excited about it and starting my work career, which will start on December 15th. I am still trying to decide if I should have a graduation party now or after Christmas, what do you think? I believe I will wait but I will still be sending out my announcements now and have an event for family and close friends but maybe have an open house early next year. Well like I said I must now get back to reality and that includes a history paper that is due on Friday so I must say goodbye for now and I will be chatting at you later!
