I made it through last week!!!

So how was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty fun after getting through a really tough week. Let's start off with the events of last week, shall we. I told you all that I am taking summer school classes and last Thursday was my first written test in my Organizational Behavior class. I studied really hard for this test using the 100+ pages of reading and 9 hours of lectures that I received in one in a half weeks of class. This was so different from the normal 16 week class, every week we are getting roughly 6 classes packed into 2 sessions, but now that I have gotten over that hurdle of knowing how this professor tests and such I am going to be better prepared for the next test. The test was not too bad, there were a few things that I was unsure of but the test was reasonable and everything looked vaguely familiar; I think I did okay but I will find out tonight. After that I had to take my first quiz in my Engineering Economy class and that was not too bad either, it was online which means that it was open book and notes but that does not mean that it was easy. Just to let all of you know, those who may not already, open book tests can be some of the hardest tests unless you understand the application of the theories you are studying because obviously if you are given an open book test the instructor will not give you word for work questions that are in the text, at least this has been my experience. So then I took a quiz for my Legal Environment of Business class and it was pretty fair as well. For this class the instructor gives us a suggested outline of things we should do for the week regarding studying and such and they normally consist of reading a chapter and listening to a few podcasts; it is actually very interesting to me. Did I mention that all of this happened last Thursday and Friday morning; I was pretty busy. I will not mislead you all, work and school is pretty tough but it is rewarding and it has given me an idea of what grad school is going to be like, I plan to take grad school classes while working full time. Moving on from the less interesting stuff, I went to New York this weekend with my boyfriend and his family and had a blast in the big apple. This was a really fun trip for me because the last time I went with a friend of mine I spent all my time shopping, don't get me wrong I do love to shop, but this time I did more sight seeing since my boyfriend was born in NYC and his mom was raised there so we did a lot of sight seeing of tourist spots as well as where they grew up at, it was really fun! I did do some minor shopping but nothing too much to brag about but overall I had a really good time, I just wish I could go back to see the opening of the Sex and the City movie, I can't wait to see it! Now I am back at work and just found out that I will be going back to Louisiana next month to work on another project so that should be interesting, I will let you all know about more details as they come available! So...yeah my birthday is Thursday, did anyone get me anything or come up with any ideas for what I should do? Well if not keep thinking on it but for now I will get back to being a productive employee!
