Almost Over!!!
Can you believe that I am almost finished with the majority of my summer school classes? Next week will be it then it will be smooth sailing with only one class remaining, I hope you all know that was just a joke. I must admit that blogging and sharing bits of my life with you all has been quite therapeutic, I really get to think about the things that are going on in my life and how blessed I am to have been able to experience them. I finally finishing up a big project that I am have been working on here at my co-op and it is such a relief. What is happening is that we are converting one of our assembly lines so that it can handle the capacity of a new product, which is really exciting for a person working in manufacturing. I have been helping out on this project by preparing the RFQ (request for quote) document for a few of the machines so that we can get those out to potential machine builders then set up an e-bid. I think that watching those e-bid auctions are very interesting. This time last year I came in on the end of a project where I got to witness that auction then I actually went to the machine builder's facility, very frequently, and supervised the building to make sure we were getting what we want. If you have never seen anything being built from the ground up, especially a machine, it is something to see. I mean one day I went in and there were just pieces of metal and different nuts and bolts on the floor then the next week the base of the machine would be finished and so on. So if you are a rip apart and rebuild person you would have a great appreciation for it and on top of it all I got to meet even more really great people. The people that worked in that shop were so nice to me, probably because I was there customer, but anyway they treated me very well. On top of all of that, I had more free food then I would have ever had staying in at my desk... I didn't pay for lunch for weeks. I spent my last day of work before I went back to school there and they ordered me Marions pizza, yummmmm, and they all got together in the conference room and we had a really great time. The perks of co-oping and plenty!
Besides work I have some fun things coming up, well my bestest friend in the whole wide world Shayla is graduating from the University of Cincinnati on Saturday and I am so proud of her, we have been friends now for over 16 years! Also that same day my boyfriend's best friend is getting married and I am going to their ceremony as well. I have gotten pretty close with all of my boyfriend's friends over the 2 years we have been dating but his best friend I would say I am the closest with, since they lived together at the beginning of our relationship. We would always talk about relationships and life then when he was about to propose to his fiance' her asked me about rings and I was and still am so happy for them, they are a great couple and deserve each other. They also try to challenge my boyfriend and I to basketball matches but they always come up with an excuse to back out, because they are scared! So say a little congrats for them all on Saturday!!!
Well it has been great chatting with you all today, have a great week and I will do the same! ~Peace Out
