My Final Blog
It's hard to believe, after three years of writing blogs, that this will be my last one. My life has changed a lot since I began writing these. My first blogs were written between by freshman and sophomore year of college when I was getting ready to spend my summer in Paris while participating in a study abroad program. It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend to everyone who has the chance, to spend the summer or a semester in another country. More recently, I have graduated from UD, been hired for my first teaching job, and got married. I am presently working with the Stebbins marching band and getting ready for school to begin.
Having attending UD was one of the best decisions of my life. I received a great education, which made me marketable when trying to find a job. This is not a great time for people to find jobs, but I was lucky enough to have had more than one job offer. That opportunity would not have been available to me had it not been for the education I received at UD. The professors at UD care for each of their students and want to do what is best for them.
Not only was the education I received at UD fantastic, the students who go here are the best. I have made many life-long friends. Some of these friends I met through classes, some through the various music ensembles I was in, some through my fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha, and some were neighbors, either in the residence halls or in the student neighborhood. These people had a great impact on my life and will always be my friends.
I learned many lifetime skills, in addition to my education, at UD. These are things that will always be with me. I am glad I chose UD as my college and would recommend it to anyone. It is a great school and I am proud to say I am a UD Alumni!
