Marion County Fair
This week is the Marion County Fair. I am spending my week, as I have for the past three summers, watching the booth building so, hopefully, no one steals anything. I am there from 9:00 in the morning until 9:00 in the evening. This is not only a job, it is a chance for me to give back to 4-H, which was very important to me as I was growing up. The days are long, but I have my computer and I-Pod with me. I also spend a lot of time talking to people. It's a great way to catch up with some people that I only see once a year. It's also a great way to help younger 4-H'ers with questions they may have. While this job would drive some people crazy, I enjoy doing it.
