My New Room!
Well, the semester is winding down, classes finished last Wednesday, and we had a couple days off to relax and prepare for exams, We had a good time over those days, cleansing the palate of the bitter aftertaste of classes, before digging into the main course: exams. One task that was completed over the weekend was a total rearrangement of my room. This was an event that had been a long time in the making, I had drawn up plans several months ago, and only now did we act on them. As you can see from the included pictures, it's an unorthodox setup. I now have no chair at my desk; rather, my bed extends into the space under the desk. My rationale for this was that I rarely do any writing homework at my desk, so it really wouldn't affect me to not be able to sit at the desk. It's really nice to have the beds unbunked and to have a room where people can more easily socialize. Of course, this sucks when you want to sleep at 3 in the morning and people won't leave, but, what the hell, I can live with that. The room really kicks ass now, and I am quite pleased with our setup. It's nice having so many liberties, I can really take apart anything as long as I'll be able to put it back together at the end of the year, so we aren't constrained by anything but stuff that is nailed to the wall.
Of course, the other big thing going on now is studying for the old exams. I feel like I'm doing a good job, I've got one exam down now, just two left. German Thursday and my CORE class on Friday. Then it's home for a lovely break. I think I'll jot down a blog on Friday, until then, studying is my main occupation. So catch you later folks.
