Time for Break!

As I prepare for spring break, it's becoming a bit daunting when I see how many things I need to bring home with me! Graduation weekend is going to be so hectic that the last thing I want to worry about it how I am going to get everything moved out of my house in time. That means that I am using this upcoming break to load up my car fully with things to bring home that I won't need between now and May 3. This is actually the first spring break in my four years at UD that I am spending at home. I have been fortunate enough to take some pretty fun trips over the years. Freshmen year, me and three other friends went down to New Orleans to see where one of our future roommates lived. We stayed with her family, saw St. Patrick's Day parades, and got to experience the culture and food of the unique city! Sophomore year, three friends and I traveled to New York City for the week. We stayed with my friend Jon's cousin who had an apartment in the city. While we were there we did just about everything New York-related. Times Square, Ground Zero, Central Park, 5th Avenue, the Met, the Brooklyn Bridge, Harlem...you name it, we did it! We were also there for St. Patrick's Day, so we got to watch the parade go through the city...and then we got stranded in the airport because of a snowstorm. That was a fun adventure home! (I'm pretty sure I wrote about that in a past blog...you can read it if you are interested in the story!) Then the following year, I went on the spring breakout trip to Tijuana, Mexico for a service trip with 11 other UD students! Once again, we were there for St. Patrick's Day and got to celebrate Mexcian-style! Looking back, I see how fortunate I am to have taken these amazing trips. So even though I'm not doing anything too exciting for my senior year spring break, I think I have plenty of previous spring break memories to make up for it.
