Summer on Campus
Well, I'm back on campus! Yesterday was a bit crazy because I had to move all my stuff into a dorm room again, but I managed. Freshman year, living in a dorm was fine...it was all I knew. But now, after living in an apartment for one year and a house the next, I was not ready for the downsizing that was about to happen. My roommate Pam and I have made our dorm room into a pretty cozy place, I'd say. And it's so much different to be here during the summer. Campus is much quieter and it's nice because although we are in a freshmen dorm again, all of us that live here now are upperclassmen. So while some of it might feel like freshman year, it's so different. It's not like we have to walk down the hall and make friends with everyone that lives around us (although we are still friendly to each other because this is UD, community and friendliness is our thing!)
Anyway, my first day of work starts tomorrow so I'm excited for that. Wait, I'm excited to go to work?!?! Yeah, I know, it's crazy. But once summer has been going for a couple weeks, boredom kicks in and going to work is at least something productive to do where you can make some money (instead of spending it out of boredom!) Plus, I'm excited for the summer to get going in full-speed because I'm really just pumped for the month of July...we'll get to move into our house, I will finally turn 21, and I get to go on vacation with my family! Until then, bring on the work, catering!
