Summer Anticipation

I've decided to stay on campus this summer and work for catering. Most of my roommates and friends will also be here for various jobs, so we're so excited for summer to start. My friend (and future housemate for next year), Pam and I will be living together in Stuart (one of the freshmen dorms they house upperclass students in during the summer). It's going to be interesting switching back to dorm life again since it's been more than two years since we've lived in dorms, but we're excited to live together and have a great summer with all of our friends. Anyway, we'll only be in Stuart for about two months because residential properties will most likely let us move into our house in July, so it'll be nice to move in so early! Even though I have a job in catering already and I'm guaranteed to work 30-40 hours a week, I'm still in the process of finding a second job in addition to this one. I'm thinking I'd like to work as a waitress somewhere so I can make some extra tips on the weekends. My manager is worried I'll get burnt out from all the work, but that's what summers are for: making lots of money so I can afford food for myself during the school year!

In addition to working, I've got a couple other things planned this summer that I'm real excited for. A week after school gets out, I'll be headed to Pittsburgh to visit my roommate, Christin for her TWENTY FIRST birthday! July I'll be headed to Chicago for my sorority's National Convention. After the convention's over, I'm going to visit my roommate, Melissa and our friend Laura who will be living in Chicago until August to work. After that, I plan on going on vacation with my parents. They want to take me to Las Vegas since it will be my 21st birthday...I can't complain about that! All these wonderful plans make it even harder to focus during the last couple weeks of school. And believe me, I've been counting down: Only 8 days of classes left until finals! Which reminds me...maybe I should start studying for those...
