Plans in the Making...
My final service application is in! It feels like quite a relief to know that I don't have to worry about any more applications for awhile, yet at the same time it can be more nerve-wracking because that means I have to wait to see if I get interviews and then if I get the job! As much as I am nervous about it, I am also really excited. Next Friday I am flying to Phoenix for my interview at the first site. I will be there for five full days and I am excited not only because I will get to see what this organization is all about and truly discover if it's what I'm called to do, but I will also get a nice little break away from campus...which is always a good thing. Luckily, with the way my schedule works out this semester, I will only be missing two days of class even though I'll be gone for almost six days, so that will definitely pay off and feel like a real vacation. Plus, there is always the excitement of warm weather! I haven't been to Arizona since I was about twelve when we went on a family vacation to the Grand Canyon, but from what I can remember, Arizona is a pretty warm place. And when Ohio gets in this rut of bitter coldness in the middle of February, there's nothing better than a warm, sunny climate! Needless to say, I cannot WAIT for this trip, it's all I have been able to think about lately. Let's just hope I can get through the next week and half without being too distracted about my trip!
