One Month Down, Only Two Left!

I can't believe we're already halfway through June! The summer seemed to start out slowly, but since work got going and everything, it's been flying by. Being up in Stuart isn't too bad, either. There were a couple of days where it was above 90 degrees with 80% humidity, so my roommate Pam and I had about 5 different fans going at once...it was intense. Luckily, those hot days didn't last that long, and now, even though it's still pretty warm outside, it's bearable. I was hoping we'd get moved into our house for the fall sometime soon, but when we walked past it the other day, the front porch was completely torn up and under construction...so I guess I better get used to Stuart for at least a few more weeks!

Working two jobs has been really nice. This way, when catering is slow, I can work my other job in the LTC so that I can keep a consistent amount of hours. And the best thing about both of my jobs is that I can pretty much choose the hours I want! Based on the catering schedule, I can sign up for events that I want, and then I can also decide when I want to work in the LTC...so it's been pretty convenient. And both of my jobs are so different that it definitely helps keep some variety in my work-life. In the LTC I sit at a desk the whole day, but catering is completely opposite, considering I normally won't get to sit down for an entire shift! Because of this, it's been going really fast, like I said. And I really only have two more months and then it'll be time to get ready to start the new semester!
