More post-grad planning...
This past Tuesday was the Post-Graduation Service Fair which consisted of many different service organizations recruiting for the different volunteer positions available next year. It's basically the equivalent of a college or career fair, except with non-profit organizations instead. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but it was also so exciting to see how many different options there are! Although I know I'm doing service after graduation, deciding on what kind to do and where to apply is the hardest part. When I met with my advisor today to talk about my schedule next semester and future career plans, he asked me what line of work I was interested in and what part of the country I wanted to go to, and I was clueless. All of the different options seem so great. I could do anything from leading high school retreats all across the country to working with homeless immigrants in the south. It's all very up in the air still, so my plan is to start narrowing down the choices. What I'm most drawn to is for the chance to leave Ohio. I love the Midwest, but I'm ready to get out there and experience a different part of the country...preferably the west coast! So, as I continue to narrow down my options, I'll be sure to keep you posted!
