Looking forward to UD Alumni status...eventually.

Last weekend, for Valentine's Day, my friends and I had the most fun celebrating...but instead of celebrating the Hallmark holiday we celebrated our friend Rick's birthday, who was lucky enough to be born on Valentine's Day. He lives in Columbus and graduated from UD last year, but came back to Dayton with some other friends of ours who have also graduated. Whenever our "old" friends come back (who have graduated), it's always guaranteed to be a fun time. Being a senior, sometimes I feel like half the friends I have made the past four years have already graduated, so when they come back to visit, it's a wonderful reminder of some of the great times we used to have together. And plus, seeing them succeeding in the "real world" is always encouraging and helps give me comfort in knowing that I will be okay after graduation as well. Even though we all know that life doesn't end after graduation, it's a crazy reality we can't help but panic about. I just hope that when I am an alum, I can come back and visit UD at least once a year. I have quite a few friends here that are in the classes below me, so of course I'll have to come back to visit them! In the same way my friends who have graduated are inspirations to me, I hope that I can be the same way for UD students after I graduate.
