Life Back at UD After Spring Break
It's now been a full week since we've returned to school after spring break and I think I've finally adjusted to life back at UD again. For the first couple of days back to classes, getting back into "school mode" was difficult. My roommates and I battled extreme apathy all week and had such a difficult time getting back into the swing of things because we were still on "spring break mode." The week also started out beautifully with some wonderful spring weather, so it gave us a taste of springtime at UD...the best time of the year. As soon as the weather gets above 50 degrees and sunny, the campus is one of the happiest places ever. Walking outside in between classes is amazing because you see so many people in some of the best moods. Just seeing students outside playing frisbee or reading a book makes my day. There are only three full weeks of classes left until final exams...I can't believe the year is winding down so fast! As much as I'm ready to be done with the classes part of school, I'm not ready to end junior year. That just means that my senior friends will leave (it's a very sore subject right now), and then WE will finally be seniors! I remember freshman year when we talked about how we were 1/8 of the way done with college after the first semester...now it's crazy to think we're almost 3/4 of the way done...where has the time gone?
I've also already registered for my first semester of senior year classes, and I have to brag that I luckily registered on the first day so I finally got into all the classes I wanted. It's an exciting feeling to finally not have to worry about getting closed out of classes that fill up after the first couple days of registration. My roommates and I were talking about the fact that junior year is over and while many of us agree we're excited for senior year, we're also sad to move out of our house since all 7 of us are not living together again next year. It's definitely bittersweet.
