Last Day in Hilliard...then off to UD!
Well, it's officially my last day of summer because I move into my house TOMORROW! I couldn't be more excited for junior year to begin. My housemates and I are so excited to live together because it's something we've been looking forward to since last January when we applied for Marianist housing. I know it's going to be a busy year, but I couldn't be more ready for it to begin.
So, today's agenda consisted of A LOT of packing, laundry, and shopping. It's funny how I have barely packed anything even though I leave tomorrow, yet two years ago at this exact time, I was completely packed a good 3 weeks in advance. I still don't feel old enough to be a junior. When I started college two years ago, the upperclassmen that were juniors seemed so old and wise. That's why it's still impossible to think of me as that age. I can't see myself as that "wise upperclassman" with a ton of knowledge. Sure, I have two years of college under my belt, but at the same time it feels like just yesterday I was a nervously excited freshman awaiting my first day of college and having no idea what to expect.
Now, going back to UD in August is more about excitement than apprehension, which I like. While I may not still necessarily feel "wise," I do feel very experienced and ready to conquer yet another year of college. I can't even believe I'm halfway done. We keep getting closer and closer to the "real world" and while I know I'm ready for junior year, I am definitely not ready to start thinking about grad school and a career...which I will need to start planning for in a few months. But until then, I intend on starting off junior year with all the excitement and joy I had two years ago as a brand new student and just enjoy the college experience as much as I can because I know that if these past two years went so fast, the next two will only go by faster! Too many commitments, tough classes, a great community, and way too much fun...UD, round 3...here it goes!
