Home for Thanksgiving!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! It's so nice to be at home...it makes me thankful for the little things I don't realize I miss until I'm back. A perfect example of this is the dishwasher I have at home. In our house at school dishes become a huge issue when it comes to doing our chores. When I come home, however, all I have to do is put my dish in the dishwasher when I'm done and the rest is taken care of, for the most part.
I can't wait until the biggest meal of the year tomorrow...Thanksgiving food is my favorite type. Our family tradition each year is to put the turkey in the oven and head to the movie theaters to see a good, family-friendly film. Then we head home and prepare for dinner. The evening consists of relaxation and plenty of football watching. It doesn't get much better than that. Oh, and the fact that Thanksgiving marks the beginning of when I let my iPod play Christmas music again is also exciting. I can't STAND Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but as soon as this holiday comes, that's all I listen to.
When we get back to school on Sunday my roommates and I have planned to go all out on Christmas decorations...another thing I'm excited for. The holiday season is so much fun for me...mostly because it only happens once a year so it's something I definitely try to appreciate and not take for granted.
