Finals are Finally Over!

Well, after about two weeks of non-stop schoolwork and studying, it's finally the end of the semester.

I finished off the fall 2007 semester today as I completed my final exam in psychology of religion at 10:10 this morning. This past week I had one final each day...I got lucky because this made things a little easier since I never had to worry about more than one exam each day. However, by the fifth exam, it was really hard to find the motivation to study...especially when many of my friends and roommates were done by Thursday. But I stuck it out and stayed up late last night to make sure I knew the information for this final exam. I like to think I finished this semester on a high note, and I'm aiming for my highest G.P.A. yet, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all turns out when grades are posted in a week or so! I think living in a house this year has helped improve my study habits significantly. It's different than living in an apartment building or dorm because there are a lot less distractions. Plus, most of my roommates are pretty studious people. so I like to think they rub off on me ;-)

Anyway, I got home this afternoon and since then I've had nothing to do...and it's a weird feeling. It seems like I should have some paper and exam looming over my head, but then I remember that the semester is over!

Luckily, I have plenty of non-academic plans during these next few weeks that should keep me busy. Hopefully I'll get to go snowboarding with some of my friends from high school. Snowboarding is one of those things I don't get to do that often, but when I can go, I LOVE it. I didn't snowboard AT ALL last year so I'm really making a commitment to make sure I go at least once over break. The hardest part is just finding time that works between all my friends and me.

Other plans over break include plenty more Christmas shopping of course and TONS of family time during this holiday. Afterwards, I hope to visit my roommate Christin and my friend Pam in Pittsburgh. I've never been to their hometowns before so I figured it would be fun to take a little road trip up there to see them. I'm also planning on spending New Year's with some of my roommates who live about an hour north of Columbus...and then I'm returning to UD four days earlier than everyone else so I can make some money working some extra hours at the library. Yep, that's about my Christmas break in a nutshell. Oh yeah, and UD is replacing our kitchen floor over the holiday season...what a nice Christmas present for our house!
