FINISHED!
I'm finally done with exams and it's the most amazing feeling ever! After I finished on Wednesday, my hand was literally cramped up...it actually still hurts a bit as I type this entry. I wrote so much yesterday during my last two finals that by the end, it was good I was about done with that final essay because I'm not sure if my hand would have been able to physically write any more. Even though classes are done, there is still a lot to do...Christmas is in less than ONE WEEK! Today I am headed home where I will be back at my seasonal job at the mall all weekend. Working in the mall the weekend before Christmas doesn't sound like the most appealing thing right now, but at least it's a great way to make some extra money, so I can't complain.
In addition to working, my plan is also to finish up the rest of my service applications so that they can be sent in by the new year. As scary as it is to be thinking about the future and realizing I only have one semester left at UD, it makes me really excited to think about the different opportunities I might have next year.
Yesterday, in celebration of finals being over (or almost over) for most of us, a large group of us went to Tanks, one of our favorite local bars. It's not one of the typical bars that are right off campus within walking distance, but it's a short drive away and it's what an "actual" bar should be like, according to my friends. Instead of being a loud, college bar, it's more laid back and casual, so it's the perfect place to go with a large group when you just want to have a drink or two. But that was about as much socializing as I could manage because I was EXHAUSTED and slept until 11am today. I haven't slept in that late all semester! I am so excited to truly have a "break" and just spend time with my family and really enjoy the holiday season! Merry Christmas, everyone!
