Alumni Excitement

Despite the things I am not looking forward to when graduating, there are also many things that make me excited to be a UD alum. There are extensive UD alumni chapters in almost every major city in the country....and that gets me excited. Just knowing that even though I'll probably be all the way across the country next year, I will have UD alumni around me. Apparently, most major cities even have certain designated "UD Bars" where you can go and watch Flyer games with some other faithful fans. Even though my undergraduate days are almost over, I know my affiliation with UD will continue. Not only at class reunions, but when each and every Flyer basketball game airs on TV, I know I will have others to watch it with. Some alumni chapters have even begun to plan their own "Christmas on Campus" celebrations...one of the biggest things at UD each year, except they call it "Christmas OFF Campus," of course. It's because of the community here that we are able to have such impressive alumni chapters that keep the UD community growing no matter where it's at. Whether it's right here in the city of Dayton (where I would imagine the amount of alumni would be pretty high), or if it's all the way in Phoenix, AZ where I hope to be next year, UD community flourishes.
