Wedding Crazy
The month of June has made me wedding crazy. Okay, not about my own wedding or anything (because trust me, I am not even close to anything like that), but I am getting so excited for all of my friends' weddings. Once you graduate from college, the next exciting things to look forward to besides reunions are the weddings you are going to be invited to, especially during the first few years out of college. Currently, I am a bridesmaid for a wedding at the end of June and in October. In addition to that, I have a friend getting married at the end of July and another friend getting married in December and two more getting married next summer as well. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend either of those weddings that are this year since I'll be in Arizona and my time off (and finances) will be limited, and I'm so bummed I'm going to miss out on seeing two sets of friends get married, but I'm excited that it seems as if their weddings are just around the corner. Because I am a bridesmaid in my best friend from high school's wedding in just a few weeks, things have a been a bit crazy in the wedding-area, but I love it. I hosted her bachelorette party last weekend which was an absolute blast, and now I am in the process if helping her with last-minute plans whenever needed. Honestly, before my friends became wedding crazy, I wasn't too sure how I would feel about helping plan a wedding. I though it would be exciting but very high stress, and to tell you the truth, the stress level has been low since it hasn't been my actual wedding. I can't imagine how much more stressful things become when you are the bride or the groom, but I really like being able to offer my help whenever needed, because I realize now just how much time and effort goes into planning a wedding. Next weekend I have another bachelorette party for the friend who is getting married at the end of July, so even though I can't attend the actual day of their marriage, at least I'll be able to come to the bachelorette party and help my friend celebrate her last few weeks of "official singlehood."
