Time is Flying!
I say this every year, but this summer has been going SO fast. Even though it feels like this every year, this year it really IS, considering my summer is technically "over" in just about two weeks. Until then, I have many things to cram into my time left in Ohio. This past weekend was my friends' wedding and then I just got back from Pittsburgh from seeing some of my UD friends. It happened that the only ones of us who could partake in the Pittsburgh trip were those of us who traveled to Ireland together after graduation, so it was a fun "post-Ireland get-together." Now that I'm back in Ohio, tomorrow I am heading to Cleveland for the Indians game with one of my friends from high school. He gets many free tickets from sporting events through his mom's office, so it's been nice to take advantage of those opportunities. Following the Indians game, it's the fourth of July AND my last weekend in Ohio, so a whole group of our UD friends is meeting up to spend the weekend together. After that, I have many family engagements to attend, since it will be my last time seeing anyone for quite sometime. It just so happens that my birthday falls on my second day in Arizona, so I will get to celebrate my birthday early with my family as well.
It's just a weird thought knowing that I'm leaving so soon. I'm not really nervous about it, as much as I really don't know what to expect. This transition is much different than going off to college because not only am I going to be much further away, but I will be living where I am working and not have much time off to come home and visit even if I wasn't so far away. I'm excited to do something so new and different, but like I said, it's just a matter of not knowing what to expect. I am the "planning" personality type, so I really enjoy being able to make plans in advance, but as of now, the furthest I can plan is until July 10....and after that I will just have to wait until I get to Phoenix and begin my job until I can plan any further. If anything, it's a lesson in patience!
