Living it up
Hello all, as promised, I polled several of my fellow students about the concept of what does it take or what would they do to get accepted to a graduate/undergraduate program. I am surprised to report that the majority of the people polled agreed that they would do anything at all costs if they thought it would make them look like a better candidate for the school of their choice. This is surprising to me because although our parents teach us for years and years about ethics, it seems as though this goes to the wayside if we are competing for something. I will let you guys ponder this.
On a lighter note I cannot express in words how happy I am to graduate here in about two weeks. Only one out of my four other roommates is graduating with me, Kyle, and he is excited as well. Two of my other roommates, Will and Staley, are engineers and plan on staying an extra semester, and my fourth roommate, Mike, plans on staying because he just can bare to leave! We (Kyle and I)plan on having a huge dual graduation party and it will surley be a sight to see. What's left for me you might be thinking? Well, I have approximately two more 10-page papers to write and then it's on to exams. Fortunately for me this semesters exams will be the easiest yet, at least it seems that way. Overall though, I have bittersweet emotions. I really am excited to continue my education at Wright State University, but on the other hand, leaving this fine institute, which has given me so much more than a degree, is something that saddens me greatly!
I enjoyed doing the poll so much last time so it will be back by popular demand. My poll this week that I will take will be on what the seniors, the class of 2007 will miss most from the University of Dayton. I will poll this because that is what I would want to know most if I were an incoming freshman or even an upcoming junior. I will keep you all posted and as always, be blessed and keep your head up!
