Back in the Groove

I am proud to let all of my readers know that I indeed did successful on the dreaded GRE's. The test itself was not as hard as one can imagine, however, the stress that everyone else placed on it was the hardest part. The part that I like best about the test is that the grades are immediate. Seconds after I finished the test it asked me if I wanted to see my grades. This is where I got nervous and realized that I would be shown whether or not all of my hard work and studying tactics had paid off. Taking the test was thrilling to say the least but I do not recommend it to any of you out there.

On a lighter note, I had a great party celebrating the test I took and in fact I celebrated for the past two weekends. This past one had to be one of the best though. I was lucky enough to participate in the bi-annual Dayton "triathlon' last weekend and our beloved house was one of the three houses picked to host this memorable occasion. When you think triathlon you may think running, but when you think Dayton+triathlon you may think otherwise. The events consisted of flip-cup, beer pong, and a game called anchor man. I won't get into too much details of the games as I am sure you all know these household games and if not, since you are reading my blog you do have access to google (tm). I am proud to pronounce that our team (name withheld) ranked in the top half of the 27 teams that participated. The important thing is that I had fun and the next important thing was that I told people that I was doing a triathlon and they told me that they could never do one because they aren't in shape. Instead of telling them the true motives behind the triathlon I simply nodded my head and said, "yea, I know what you mean".

I also had the extreme pleasure of hosting a beautiful girl's birthday party, the well-adored Christine. Being one of the roommates of my dreamy girlfriend Catherine (a.k.a. Mc. Steamy), I felt honored to host a party on her behalf. She was accompanied by her friend's; Long, Tipps, Big-Ben, Jeff, and the list goes on. We had a wine party and it was amazing to say the least. Although the night went on into the wee hours of the night there was one person who I remember most.

The person who made my night that weekend was none other than the infamous Jeff. This lovable individual is not always smiling and being as cute as a button, his deep philosophical conversations stimulate the soul. After a few rounds of drinks Jeff explained to us several important things that all of us always wanted to know like what the meaning of life was as well as the dynamics of why popcorn pops. His in-depth conversation skills leads me to believe that he will make a fine husband one day and any young lady, Christine included, would be lucky if he asked them on a date.

To wrap things up my past few weekends have been marvelous and my parents are proud at my achievements on the Graduate Record Exam. The next phase is to start choosing a graduate school which I am sure will be fun-filled and adventuresome. Until next time my friends......
