A Schedule to Smile About
Classes have started and finally the school year is in full swing again. I am pretty happy with my classes. Unlike almost all of my previous semesters here at UD, where I was taking either 18 or 19 credit hours, I am taking a reduced load of only 17 credit hours. Now I realize that one or two credit hours is hardly going to give me tons of free time to relax during my senior year, however I think that the courses I am taking will be more enjoyable for me and therefore less stressful. So without further ado I give my schedule.
Monday and Wednesday I take classes for about three hours in the afternoon starting at 3:00pm and going to about 6:00pm. One of these classes is primarily a business simulation which all business majors are expected to take and the other is a philosophy class regarding business ethics. I realize that some of you might cringe about philosophy classes but I love learning about philosophy and have not had a philosophy class in two years so it is a major plus for me. Later in the semester I also pick up a class I have wanted to take for two years, wine tasting. This is obviously a class I am taking just for fun. It is also one of the most desired classes in the university. I had to go on a waiting list for a year before I got in. Most people suggest signing up in the beginning of your junior year at the latest. I am really excited to be taking it.
Tuesday and Thursday are a little more hectic. I start off at 10:30am and do not end until about 5:00pm. The first class of the day is my international finance class which due to me desire to work internationally I am very happy to have this as one of my finance electives. I then go to my only arts elective in my 4 years here at UD, acting. My desire to take this course goes back to my high school days where I was quite proudly a theater geek. I loved my time in the theater and wanted to relive a bit of this before I got out of school. Finally, my day ends with an accounting class on auditing. This is probably going to be my most boring class. I find it odd that it is the required class in my field which I believe I will find it most difficult to stay awake in.
Thus my schedule is complete. Some of you might wonder why I did not include Fridays in my schedule. This is wonderful question. The answer is that I do not have class on Friday. This is the first time I have ever been able to accomplish this and highly suggest it to anyone when they schedule for classes. It is amazing to always have that 3 day weekend. With so many reasons to smile on my schedule I must say I expect to have a wonderful year. Good luck to everyone and for those of us who are now seniors, let's go out with a bang!
