Rock the Vote at UD
It's hard not to feel important in Ohio these days. With the State being the subject of so many news reports and the location of countless political rallies and visits by presidential candidates, Ohioans know how important their votes could be in this election. Although Ohio has been a political battleground before, the amount of campaign money being spent here this year dwarfs previous contests. Both parties have been increasing their visits to the area during these last few days before this historic election. Joe Biden will be in Kettering tomorrow afternoon.
The non-affiliated Rock the Vote campaign made a stop at UD today, with a performance by the Beastie Boys (unfortunately I was in class). They encouraged students to go out and vote, convincing young people that they can have more of an impact than they've had in the past.
No matter what the polls and the media say, anything can happen when November 4th rolls around. Hopefully, college students along with all other demographic groups will contribute to the monumental democratic election process next week.
