Georgia Aquarium

Stingray viewed from 'the tunnel'

This past weekend I flew home to Atlanta to spend a couple of days with my parents as well as my brother and his wife. I also brought my girlfriend Liz down to see my hometown. It was a great break from work, and the highlight of the trip had to be our Saturday excursion to the new Georgia Aquarium. It is the largest aquarium in the world and exhibits such creatures as the whale shark, the largest fish in the sea. Other animals we saw include beluga whales, sea otters, penguins, and jellyfish just to name a few. The aquarium is pretty well laid out and is manageable for one afternoon. It is definitely a "must-see" during a visit to Atlanta.

My second favorite part of the trip was my mom's delicious lamb dinner finished off by some home-made peach cobbler. I am really looking forward to going back home for a week in August before school starts again and seeing even more of my siblings.
