Easter at Home
Last weekend, I took a couple days off of work and traveled home to Atlanta for Easter. I actually drove, since flights were so expensive around the holiday. A friend of mine who is also a civil engineer and is graduating next month rode down with me so he could look at Georgia Tech as a potential graduate school option. I too plan on attending graduate school, and Georgia Tech will no doubt be one of my top choices. UD, particularly the School of Engineering, prepares undergraduates for some of the top graduate schools around the country, so long as you don't mind going far away. Although UD's student population draws from all over the country, the vast majority are from ohio or its neighboring states. I wouldn't mind going back to a place where I can play golf year round.
I was able to play nine holes while in Atlanta last weekend. I played surprisingly well, considering I hadn't played since I was last home over Christmas. Most importantly, I spent quality time with my family, including my dog. I enjoyed watching the Master's on TV, one the greatest golf tournaments of all time played every Spring at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Now it's just a few weeks until everyone on campus parts ways for the summer. Many of my friends and roommates will be going home for the summer. I will be co-oping again this summer in Cincinnati, and will be living with a friend in an apartment down there.
