Done with class, ready for work
I finished my summer surveying class today. What a great feeling! It has been an intense three weeks of long days and tedious work. I've looked at enough numbers to last me a while. I've found the class to be very informative through the time spent and the weather endured. Speaking of which, it's finally getting to be warm. That's what summer is all about, right? Along with this heat wave comes the realization that most UD houses definitely do not have air conditioning, including the one I'm living in right now. I still need to get my window replaced so that I can let some cool air in upstairs. Right now I have to prop it open with a couple of books. Hopefully my fan will do for the rest of the summer, but I will miss the temperate comfort that I enjoyed in Campus South.
Now it's Memorial Day weekend. I'm traveling to Pittsburgh for my nephew's baptism. I cannot wait to see my entire family at once, a rare occurence. Tuesday I will start my co-op job with Messer Construction at the Greene, the new shopping mall being built next to I-675. I'm really looking forward to getting some experience and getting some money to pay my bills.
