Christmas on Campus and Finals
Like I said last week, this past Friday was Christmas on Campus, the 43rd COC to be exact. It was a big success this year with almost 1500 kids from the area coming on campus. Every single child was adopted by a UD student. I worked a cornhole set in the RecPlex for the carnival portion of the event. This was the first year that the RecPlex was available for COC, and it was filled with fun activities for kids to do. Fortunately for them and for me, it was also very warm compared to the frigid conditions outside. There was also a big Christmas tree that was donated in Humanities Plaza, and a whole array of ice sculptures were even created.
This week is finals week, the one week during the semester where one is hard-pressed to find a seat in the library. I have completed three exams and have one more before my Christmas vacation begins. I've found that finals are much less stressful when you work hard throughout the semester. Not only do you retain what you learn much better, but you also have a solid grade in the class that is hard to bring down.
