Back to School!
Classes at UD are officially underway. It was great coming back to campus and seeing everyone again and feeling the vibe of a full campus. My house and my street are bustling with action, and there is never a dull moment. I have also found that the best thing about having a house is sitting out on the porch in beautiful weather. Living in the north student neighborhood, a.k.a. the "dark side", is great as a junior because I know so many of my neighbors. I can already tell that this is going to be a good year.
My classes are going pretty well so far. Unfortunately, my easy "syllabus" days are over and my classes will be getting serious tomorrow. This semester will definitely be challenging for me, but I'm looking forward to learning a lot. My schedule is probably the best since I've come to UD, and all my classes but one are conveniently located in the same building.
One thing that always bothers me at the beginning of the semester is the hit my wallet takes for textbooks. I was able to get a couple of my books used, but I still spent about $550 on books for just this semester. Hopefully they will provide me with knowledge that more than makes up for the cost.
