Back to Ohio and Back to Work
I had a great Christmas vacation at home in Atlanta. It was so good to spend time with my family and be able to relax for a few weeks after final exams. I even got to see my cousin from Ireland and his family when they came over to the States before Christmas. Everything from golfing with my dad and my brothers to going to the art museum with my mom was a lot of fun. My Christmas vacation was extended for a few days for a couple of reasons. One, I had to get some work done on my car, and, two, I didn't have to be back in Dayton until this past weekend. I started a new co-op yesterday at THP, Limited in Cincinnati. THP is a structural engineering and architectural firm involved in commercial building, restoration, and rehabilitation. After two days I can say that I enjoy working there. The commute is long but manageable, and I will eventually get an apartment down there.
Although I co-oped over the summer, it is much different now that everyone else is in school while I'm working. It is nice to have no homework, and the weekends will hold much more free time I feel. Although I will not graduate until a year later than most of my friends, I hope this experience will turn out to be invaluable.
My vacation concluded with a family rendezvous at my sister's place in Nashville. I was able to see all my siblings as well as all my nieces and nephews. I have attached a few pictures for your enjoyment.
