Almost August!
There's no doubt about it: this has been a great summer full of learning and doing. My co-op experience has taught me so much about civil engineering and, more specifically, about construction. It has also kept me so busy that the summer has gone by rather quickly. Now it is the end of July and the beginning of August, the month that I have always dreaded because of what goes along with it: end of summer vacation and back to school.
This August is a little different though. Work was a great experience, but it was very time and energy consuming. I think school, while requiring more brain-work, will be a nice change of pace. This is another plus for co-oping - the alternating schedule of work and school provides a constant change of pace for a few years. Also, living on campus during the summer has definitely been nice, but it will be fun when everyone is back and the neighborhood resumes its hustle and bustle.
I have included here a few updated pictures of the Greene. It'll be something to look forward to around the start of school.
