Grad School Decision

After a couple weeks of meditation and conversations with friends and family, I have decided where I will be attending graduate school next year: Georgia Tech. It was very difficult to turn down an opportunity at Berkeley, but I felt the program at Georgia Tech was a better fit for what I wanted. I don't think I could go wrong either way, but I'm glad to have that decision off my mind now. I'll be starting in mid-August and will complete my Master's degree in one calendar year, or three semesters. My degree will be in civil engineering, with a focus in structural engineering. I'm still sad to be leaving Dayton, but at least I know where I'll be next year. The next step will be figuring out where I want to live: on campus or off campus. Right now I'm leaning towards on campus so I can meet more people, save money, and not have to worry about maintenance and utilities. I've been spoiled with this luxury for five years at UD, and I'm not quite ready to give it up yet!

I'm home in Atlanta for Easter and will be returning to Dayton on Monday to complete my final sprint to the end!
