A Place to Live...Not So Easy Anymore

One nice thing about UD is how convenient housing is. Specific places for specific years, pick one out online and a bill for everything comes to you. A random roommate freshman year, and then whatever friends you want to live with after that.

Sadly, that is nowhere near how it works in, you guessed it, "the real world". After undergrad, you sort of just get left to fend for yourself. I know I need to live in Cleveland next year, but where, and with who? Thankfully the school at least has a list I can sign up for online of people that are looking for roommates.

I browsed the list, looked up the people I could on facebook (cheesy I know, but hey, a picture is worth a 1,000 words right?). I've emailed back and forth with a girl my age, which meant I've had to suck up the fact that I sound like I am placing a personal ad in a newspaper, and now I have a new roommate! In early June her and I will go to Cleveland to look at apartments together, and hopefully pick one that day.

So strange, right? Going to look at apartments together with someone I haven't even talked to on the phone yet. Oh well, don't really have any other options!
